The Neurodiversity Immersive Campus Experience (NICE) Week is a four day high school to university transition program for first year students who identify as Neurodivergent.

Neurodiversity Immersive Campus Experience (NICE) Week is a free UCalgary initiative to help incoming first-year undergraduate students who self-identify as neurodiverse. This experience provides students with a supportive environment in their transition from high school to university.
Participating students will also be engaged in ongoing campus learning to provide sensory-friendly and supportive learning that benefits students’ learning needs and supports their wellbeing.
About NICE Week
Ten incoming students will be accepted to participate in four days of on-campus programming and workshops that will introduce them to life at university, other neurodiverse peers, helpful campus supports and programs and more. Students will live in residences during the week and will have the ability to explore the university on their own outside of the program hours (10 a.m. – 3 p.m.)
Eligibility: Applicants must:
- Be entering their first year of undergraduates studies, and
- Be beginning studies in the fall of 2022, and
- Self-identify as neurodiverse
