Starting with the Fall 2014 semester, the University of Calgary will be offering students free access to Office 365,a cloud-based set of productivity and collaboration tools that will provide students with anywhere access to email, documents and calendars.
As part of the upgrade, U of C students will receive the following services:
- Robust email service with 50 GB of storage, including premium anti-malware and anti-spam capabilities
- 1 TB of storage for files in OneDrive (online storage space)
- Free access to the latest version of the Office 365 ProPlus software suite that includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and more
- Licensing to download Office 365 ProPlus on up to five devices including smartphones and tablets (devices must connect to the internet once every 30 days to renew their Office 365 ProPlus software license)
