Digital Storytelling: An intervention model for inclusion and capacity building among youth with developmental disabilities

Would you like to take part in a research study? Do you self-identify as a person with a developmental disability? Are you between the ages of 18-30? Are you facing a potential transition in education, work, and/or community living in the next 12-24 months?

You are invited to take part in a digital storytelling workshop to understand the experiences of youth with developmental disabilities facing life transitions. Digital storytelling combines the tradition of oral storytelling with photography to create a short video about a personal experience. As part of this study, we also want to understand if creating digital stories supports skills in communication, reading and writing, and using multimedia. No previous technical skills are needed.

Workshops sessions are one hour long and will take place over a two week period. There are four sessions in total and these will take place online via Zoom. Workshops will take place between April 2021-October 2021, depending on enrollment.
