Assistive Technology of the Week!

WHAT’S IT CALLED AND WHAT DOES IT DO?

This week: NOTABILITY. Notability is a robust note-taking app. Among its many features, Notability allows you to take lecture notes, record lectures, import and annotate documents (lecture slides, .pdf files, etc.) and sketch ideas.

ON WHAT PLATFORMS/DEVICES?

Notability is available on Apple mobile devices running iOS 7.0 or later and Mac computers running OSX 10.9 or later.

WHY SHOULD YOU GET IT?

Two of the main reasons: it doesn’t cost much ($3.49 for the mobile version, $6.99 for the Mac version), and lecture notes and recorded audio are automatically synced, making it a really efficient means for reviewing lecture material.

HOW DO YOU GET IT?

For mobile devices: through iTunes

For Mac computers: through the App Store
