In November of last year, we highlighted a New York Times story on a Dutch company called Specialisterne, which employs persons within the autistic spectrum.
A new venture, fashioned after successful companies like Specialisterne, has now launched in Calgary.
Meticulon Consulting, a project of the Autism Calgary Association in partnership with the federal government and the Sinneave Family Foundation, is the first high-tech initiative of its kind in Canada.
The company will offer the meticulous technical and computer skills of people with autism.
A recent Calgary Herald story has more information on the enterprise.
