Siobhan Isabella Reid Memorial Scholarship

The Learning Disabilities Association of Alberta is soliciting applications from qualified, full-time Alberta post-secondary students for the Siobhan Isabella Reid Memorial Scholarship.

The $1,000 scholarship is open to students enrolled in a program which will lead to that individual being able to assist children and/or adults with learning disabilities. The student may be enrolled in any faculty of any university within Alberta or in a college degree program.

Deadline for applications is May 15, 2015.

This program provides Writing, Wellness, Research, and Academic Support, as well as Peer-Assisted Study Sessions.

Upcoming SSC Math Workshop

The Student Success Centre is offering a workshop designed to get you off to a good start in your Spring and Summer math courses.

Conquering Your Math Course will help students to:

  • identify areas in which their foundational math skills need improvement, and make plans to upgrade in those areas
  • draft a weekly study schedule to ensure adequate time for study, review and practice problems
  • expand and improve their study strategies
  • learn techniques to reduce math anxiety

Conquering Your Math Course will be held Wednesday, May 13, 2015, 2:00pm-4:00pm, in TFDL 440D.
