Dear Stress

The Dear Stress Video Competition, a collaborative initiative from the SU Wellness Centre and the Faculty of Nursing, has now wrapped up.

Entrants were tasked with creating short videos about their experience with stress and the strategies they use to cope with it.

The winning videos can be viewed on the Dear Stress website.

Devon Academic Resource Centre

The Devon Academic Resource Centre (DARC) is a centrally located area (ENC 208) where 1st and 2nd year students in the Schulich School of Engineering can gather to study, interact, and gain access to academic support resources.

Students can access tutoring assistance in core 1st and 2nd year courses (AMAT 219, ENGG 201 and 202, PHYS 259, and more) between the hours of 10:00 am and 4:00pm. Tutoring is done on a drop-in basis. The schedule for Winter 2014 tutoring can be found here.

Additionally, students can meet with Dina Taher, the DARC Student Advisor, to gain advice and assistance around issues such as time management, exam preparation, and study skills. Tom Pinder Educational Scholarship

Deaf & Hear Alberta has announced details of a new scholarship: the Tom Pinder Educational Scholarship.

This scholarship is valued at $2,000, and is open to applicants from two years of age and up. Applicants must be deaf, hard of hearing, or a Cochlear implant user.

The deadline to apply is May 1, 2014.
