Awards Overview

We’re big fans of awards – most recently, we highlighted the Shire Canada 2013 ADHD Scholarship Program (deadline to apply is March 27, 2013!).

There are numerous awards available for new and ongoing University of Calgary students. The Student Finance website has complete information on awards and application procedures and deadlines.

High school students applying for admission to the University of Calgary in Fall 2013 are automatically considered for admission scholarships. There are numerous other awards available – the specific criteria for each award varies, so consult the University of Calgary Student Finance website for High School students for more information. The final application deadline for High School Competitive Awards is April 1, 2013.

Transfer students are also eligible for a variety of awards. Consult the Student Finance Transfer Students website for eligibility information.

The application for awards for ongoing undergraduate students opens June 1, 2013. There are a wealth of awards available for ongoing students – eligibility, criteria and value varies, so consult the Continuing Undergraduate Students link for full information. Application deadline is August 1, 2013 (all documents must be received by August 10, 2013).

Included amongst the awards available are awards for students with permanent disabilities. This document provides a brief overview of those awards. Further information on each award can be obtained through the awards section of the University Calendar.
